Upcycled Coret Top

A personal magnetism towards corsetry was not the only concept that influenced me to recreate a style of Vivienne Westwood corset top. The main aspect that lead me down the path of recreating this beloved piece was to bring life to a new garment, using personal clothing that was ready to be donated. Using an old pair of plaid trousers and a mid length pleather skirt for base fabric, I needed to produce a garment which contained small enough pattern pieces to utilise my base fabrics. Que the Vivienne Westwood  corset top, fully boned, decoratively topstitched with CF open ended zipper, and lined with remaining fabric from plaid trousers.
